Looking for Website Coordinator

Logo -- Adult Survivors Can Sustain Recovery

For the last few months I've been struggling. I've been disheartened at the lack of success I've had obtaining articles from authors, and lack of response from those making use of the audiovisual materials I've provided links to -- sometimes students at tertiary colleges have requested links be provided when difficulties are experienced, but never yet have I been thanked for providing those. I set up the site to provide psychoeducational materials for those adult survivors of childhood trauma, and strong recommendations from academic clinical researchers that that was a good thing to do -- I hope so.  It's been twelve months, nearly, since my first blog post, since I made the undertaking to my dead friend Wayne, and others, that I would try to do something to see that survivors didn't suffer as much in the same way he and I did, "shafted" by the likes of Brett Ferguson at Ashburn Clinic, Dunedin, and other "treatment providers" we had been subjected to, those who RE-traumatised us along the road to our attempted recovery

But, I, personally, have very nearly come to the end of what I can contribute, at least for now. I have undergone the challenge of setting up and maintaining the website and blog as a solitary activity. One of my next blog posts will be posted soon, hopefully tomorrow, and titled: "Recovery -- Don't Try This Alone".  Recovery is both, inherently, a private and shared challenge, and so

I now am looking for someone, who has support to volunteer to take over the "job" of maintaining and further developing the website / blog.

If someone contacts me New Zealand, I shall pay for the next twelve months' domain name, for AdultSurvivors.org.nz  -- the website is stored in parallel -- the same content being set up on a commercial server in New Zealand, and on a site operated by CoffeeCup.com software [LINK]  and the site is stored here [LINK] -- so, at least for the first 12 months, you wouldn't be required to pay anything. I am asking for people to volunteer in time to take over the site by the end of May, around that time I'll be moving the site on a full-time basis to  CoffeeCup.  I could make post the CoffeeCup HTML Editor to the person willing to take over the site.

BEFORE I GO

  • I shall post a table with links to  all the audiovisual materials I have stored on free cloud stores
  • As part of those stores will be the materials from the NICABM Trauma Treatment 2013 series currently in progress [LINK]
  • I shall be recording, storing, and posting links to the new series from Psychotherapy Networker -- Meds: Myths and Realities [LINK]
  • I shall be posting links to my stores of materials from the SoundsTrue Self-Acceptance Series
  • Already available via my Help pages, but I shall highlight those sites I've found most valuable (suchas NICABM, SoundsTrue, Psychotherapy Networker, etc.
  • I shall post a limited number of new blog posts, with links to whatever new research I find suitably valuable, but the material I've already posted has really stood the test of time, I'm pleased to say
  • As always, and to all my readers, I am and will send you my best wishes for a successful, ongoing recovery from your past trauma, and hope that you live a life of your own choosing with those you love and who love you in return.
